THE LATIN AMERICAN CONNECTION
Tuesday, March 9th, 2010There’s always a sort of bad link between the two American nations, it really reached its Low point during the bush administration with Bush even facing protest rallies against his arrival. But this time the ever dependable president Barrack Obama is once again expected in good will. People expect a huge change in the Latin – American relationships during the Summit of the Americas, where 34 heads of state will meet this weekend in Trinidad and Tobago. Though a few liberalizations like, allowing Cuban- Americans with relatives in Cuba to visit and send money have been already implicated, the main expectations are the finalization of the Free Trade Area of the Americas policy and the development of economic growth in the Latin Americas which have been only a dream for almost 10 years now. Though the Obama administration conservative polices are a little something more than strict, the critics believe he will step down as this domestic economic issue’s will decide his presidency for the coming years.
