As the White house is increasing regulation plans it increases the hazards of unemployment. This in turn brings about manpower shortage which raises the issue of government’s ability to keep up with the vast and complex financial market. Weak regulation is only partly responsible for the current turmoil; the unintentional consequences of the past government over the decade also played a role.

Hedge Funds Take A New Turn

The principles of the administration’s proposals were laid down by the Treasury Secretary Timithy F. Geithner. He has proposed new regulations for various funds as well for complex financial instruments known as derivatives. His proposal for hedge funds drew concern among financial experts. He had proposed that hedge funds have to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission and have to disclose about their operations.
